Charalampos Tsifis is a Geotechnical Engineer at GR8 GEO. He has worked on several projects involving structural, geotechnical and seismic design of various structures. In 2017 he completed his MSc Thesis in NTUA on the “Numerical Analysis of Pipeline - Sand Backfill - Trench Interaction for vertical (downwards) relative offset” using FLAC under the supervision of Professor Bouckovalas.
Before joining GR8 GEO he worked as a structural and civil engineering consultant in Liontos & Associates Ltd where he worked in the structural design of several structures including the 5-star Hotel Complex “Costa Navarino - Navarino Bay”, the expansion of the marine works infrastructure of Pier 6 at the Port of Thessaloniki, the Al-Fedhailia General Hospital in Bagdad, Iraq, and the New Medical / Dental Facility in Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti.
Select projects he has worked on include the design of various temporary structures in the dry dock area for the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge in Turkey, tender design of temporary works for a metro rail project in Manila, and 3D soil-structure interaction numerical evaluations of monopile lateral response with FLAC3D for Offshore Wind Farms.
